Wonky???

I will be the first to admit that I don't do wonky well.  It is not something I have practiced or used much so my wonky is pretty rusty.  This is the first wonky house I made for Parthena today,

\

It is OK but not the most fantastic house I have seen,  I was able to trim this up to 12.5 inches.  I thought I would try again so I got this.

While I like it's simplicity it is too big at 14.25 by 15....................so I need to take the roof off and make it smaller.   I need to follow the tutorial or just get Gwen Marston's book out and take a look.

Back to the drawing board.  I am bound to make a decent one by the next guild meeting, right??

Paula, they are both cute...especially like the second one. Perhaps you have a wonky house quilt in YOUR future, huh?

No wonky houses in my future!!! Except the ones I will make Parthena. Maybe I'll get to liking them. We shall see.

I love that tree in the second one! I'll bet she could incorporate the big block onto the backing...

I think there are wonky houses in my future...

I have a hard time with intentional wonk...sometimes I get wonky without wanting it, but that's no good either!
You'll have an extra week to get your wonky on...since our May meeting is on the 19th! ;-)

Paula,
don't trim it! I'll incorporate it the way it is. don't go through the trouble of taking it apart. :)
